Paperwise has provided our business the capability of
reducing the turn-around time in our billing cycle from 2+ weeks
to literally 2 days or less. With the custom touchscreen-based
scanning kiosk program that Paperwise created for us, we are
able to have our drivers scan their paperwork at their home
terminals (or any terminal in our system). This eliminates
weekly UPS charges for shipping paperwork to our corporate
headquarters to be scanned, allows drivers to get paid much
faster, and has significantly reduced the workload on our
corporate accounting/billing staff. The reduction in billing
time allows us to bill our customers much faster, which means we
get paid faster. We have 18 locations with scanning kiosks, and
the system has been very well received by management and drivers
alike.
Additionally, we have set up Paperwise file cabinets for
scanning, storing, and retrieving essential documents for the
running of our business. These include accounts payable,
accounts receivable, human resources, and most recently,
maintenance. With our maintenance system up and going, terminals
around the country that have repair shops will be able to
instantly see maintenance records for our tractors and trailers.
It ranks along side our driver kiosk system as far as "must
have" applications go. The maintenance system alone represents a
major enhancement in the way we keep track of a fleet of 400+
tractors and over twice that many trailers.
A couple of other things need to be mentioned as well. We
considered three other vendors while evaluating imaging systems.
Paperwise blew the competition away with their knowledge of the
industry in general, their willingness to work alongside us to
migrate our old data, and especially their technical expertise.
As far as support goes, it is superb – Paperwise does not put
you in touch with "newbies" on a help desk and bury you in
myriad levels of idiocy to get your problem fixed. They have
quality people there to help fix any issues, and I have nothing
but praise for the support we have been provided.
Paperwise has become as critical a part of our business as
our dispatch system is. We can’t live without it.
